Workshops at the Giganci Foundation – movement classes for youth on the autism spectrum

In cooperation with the Giganci Foundation , we conducted movement classes for youth on the autism spectrum, supporting wellbeing, body awareness, and relaxation. Through mindful movement, breathing, and gentle exercises, participants were able to release tension, regain energy, and better tune into the needs of their own bodies.

The workshop was led by Dorota Batorska, educator in movement and art therapy and president of the Areté Foundation. Dorota specializes in working with groups with diverse needs, combining techniques of mindful movement, drama, and art therapy to support emotional development, body awareness, and social integration.

The classes created a space for relaxation, deepening mindfulness, and building healthy movement habits. Through a variety of techniques, we supported participants’ physical and emotional development and group integration, demonstrating how movement can positively impact everyday wellbeing.

The Giganci Foundation works for people on the autism spectrum and their families, offering educational support, activities that develop social skills, and programs for physical and artistic activation. The Foundation creates an inclusive environment in which each participant can develop their skills, self-confidence, and psychophysical wellbeing.
